Cancellation & Refunds Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Danesh Travel Society. The $500 deposit is non-refundable unless otherwise stated for a specific journey. If you cancel more than 60 days before departure, payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit will be refunded, less any non-refundable costs already paid to hotels, transportation providers, tour operators, or other suppliers on your behalf. Cancellations made 60 days or less before departure are non-refundable. If Danesh Travel Society must cancel a journey, we will make reasonable efforts to refund payments received, less any non-refundable amounts already committed to third-party suppliers. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to help protect against unexpected cancellations, illness, emergencies, or other circumstances.
Travel Insurance Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers. Travel insurance may provide coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, medical emergencies, travel delays, lost or delayed baggage, and other unexpected circumstances, depending on the policy selected. Each traveler is responsible for purchasing her own travel insurance and understanding the coverage, exclusions, and requirements of her policy. Danesh Travel Society is not responsible for losses or expenses that could have been covered by travel insurance.
Traveler Responsibilities & Health/Safety Each traveler is responsible for determining that she is physically able to participate in the activities included in the journey and for informing Danesh Travel Society in advance of any mobility limitations, dietary requirements, or other needs that may affect participation. Travelers are responsible for following reasonable safety instructions provided by Danesh Travel Society, guides, transportation providers, hotels, and activity operators. Each traveler is responsible for her personal belongings and for having the identification and travel documents required for the journey. Danesh Travel Society reserves the right to modify an activity or itinerary when reasonably necessary for the safety or well-being of the group.
Itinerary Changes & Third-Party Suppliers Danesh Travel Society carefully plans each journey, but itineraries, activities, accommodations, transportation, restaurants, guides, and other arrangements may occasionally need to change due to weather, availability, safety concerns, supplier changes, or circumstances beyond our control. When a change is necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a comparable alternative whenever possible. Hotels, restaurants, transportation companies, tour operators, guides, and other service providers are independent third-party suppliers. Danesh Travel Society does not control their operations and is not responsible for their acts, omissions, delays, cancellations, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, to the extent permitted by law.
Photography & Media Photographs and videos may be taken during Danesh Travel Society journeys to capture the experiences and memories shared by our travelers. Some photographs or videos may be used on the Danesh Travel Society website, social media, or other promotional materials only with the traveler’s permission. Travelers who prefer not to appear in promotional photographs or videos are always welcome to opt out. Choosing not to give permission will not affect a traveler’s ability to participate in a journey.
What’s Included & What’s Not Included Each Danesh Travel Society journey has its own carefully selected accommodations, activities, meals, transportation, and experiences. Please refer to the specific journey itinerary for a complete list of what is included in the trip price. Unless specifically stated as included, the trip price does not include airfare, travel insurance, personal expenses, optional activities, additional meals or beverages, alcoholic beverages, gratuities, or transportation outside the published itinerary. Travelers are responsible for any expenses not specifically identified as included in their journey.
Traveler Conduct Danesh Travel Society is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone in the group. Travelers are expected to treat fellow guests, guides, suppliers, hotel and restaurant staff, and members of the local community with courtesy and respect. Danesh Travel Society reserves the right, when reasonably necessary, to remove a traveler from a journey if her behavior is seriously disruptive, threatening, unsafe, or substantially interferes with the experience or well-being of the group. Any additional expenses resulting from such removal may be the traveler’s responsibility, subject to applicable law.
Cancellation or Changes by Danesh Travel Society Danesh Travel Society reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify a journey when reasonably necessary due to insufficient enrollment, severe weather, safety concerns, supplier cancellations, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If Danesh Travel Society cancels a journey before departure, travelers will be notified as promptly as possible. Refunds or credits will be handled in accordance with the terms applicable to that journey and applicable law, taking into consideration any amounts that may already have been paid to and retained by third-party suppliers. Danesh Travel Society is not responsible for independently purchased airfare, travel arrangements, or other expenses incurred by travelers as a result of a trip cancellation or change, to the extent permitted by law. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to help protect against these expenses.
Agreement to Terms By submitting a reservation and making a payment to Danesh Travel Society, travelers acknowledge that they have reviewed and agree to the Travel Terms & Policies applicable to their journey. Travelers may also be required to review and sign a separate Traveler Agreement before participating in a journey. The Traveler Agreement may include additional terms relating to payments and cancellations, traveler responsibilities, assumption of risk, travel insurance, photography and media permission, and other important conditions of participation. If any provision of these Travel Terms & Policies conflicts with applicable law, applicable law will control.
